About Våren

Våren is what we characterize as an Greencubator, or more precisely a venture studio for circular startups. A company which starts and build companies which will contribute to the green shift.

All Vårens ventures have in common that they have a circular business model. Besides that, we have specialized in two field, textiles and bioeconomy (food security). Check out Vårens portfolio at våren.no/spirene (in Norwegian)

The Våren model

In Våren we have gathered a group of people which we believe that increases the chance for a circular start-up to be a success. We have specialist in LCA-analysis, agriculture, Carbon, technology, finance, business development and communications, you can read more about the team on Våren.no/folka (in Norwegian). Besides that, Våren cooperates closely with the venture studio New & Company and the venture fund Sandwater, which both also have invested in us.

Våren is there to increase the chances for that companies that the world needs will be a success. Our model is quite simple, Våren acts like a co-founder, but instead of being one person we have a team with different abilities and competences, which can contribute at different stages of building a company. We believe that our time is our largest asset, hence, our main investment is our time. But, at some occasions we might also invest small amounts of cash, in combination with our sweat. Vårens main focus is on the first years of the company, from its establishment till there is a proven business model.
